Frequently Asked Questions
Where can i view availability?
What are the house rules?
No smoking.
Please do not leave doors open! We are in the national forest and a critter or rodent could enter.
Do not leave trash outside! An animal will get into the bag.
Do not leave pets unattended on the property at any time, including locked in the bathroom. Please crate them any time you are not present.
Please do not allow pets on furniture or use our linens or bedding for your pets. We love our pets and understand how much these furry friends are a part of the family, however we need to accommodate for guests with potential pet allergies. Additional fee will be charged for excessive shedding on rugs, linens or furniture.
Do i need a specific type of vehicle to reach the cabins on the mountain?
Yes! Please ensure you are driving an appropriate vehicle. You will need a vehicle with some clearance as well as a bit of driving skill to make it in.
We strongly suggest:
a small, medium or large SUV
any size truck
a crossover
We strongly advise against:
a minivan
a sedan
A 4x4 is not a requirement, but helpful and you do need a vehicle with clearance. Rear wheel drive is better than front wheel drive.
The first 2 miles of the drive are easy and you can drive 25 mph. The remaining 3 miles are slower and requires some attention. You will cross 4 or 5 small creeks on the way in. Water is rarely more than 4 inches deep. The roads are rocky and bumpy, but will not ever be muddy.
The property sits 5 miles off the highway on gravel roads with grades up to 12%.
All of that being said, it’s a beautiful drive and we oftentimes see white tail deer, turkey, and birds of prey including red tail hawks and various owls!

Can i bring additional guests past max occupancy?
Unfortunately, we cannot allow more than the max occupancy at any given time.
Most importantly, due to fire marshal regulations and insurance purposes, the number of guests per cabin is strictly enforced.
In addition, the mountain cabins are off-grid and our systems, such as solar, cannot handle more than the max number of guests.

No, unfortunately we do not hold dates. Reservation isn't final until a payment is made.

Do not leave windows or doors open unless HVAC is turned off.
If you leave your cabin, set the HVAC to a mild temperature:
